Day 11: Rome - Verona – Venice (Venezia)
OMG! My feet are so fucked! Rewind…
Today was a long driving day. We stopped first at Verona, made
famous by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, I thought it was very
quaint. We had a chance to see Juliet’s balcony, which is interesting,
especially because the book’s completely fictional, and Juliet
never existed. No Juliet, no balcony, can you say tourist trap?
As we made our way back to the pick up point me and Stace shared
an ice cream, yum… this girl’s making me fall for her! I think
I’m headed for more heartache though =( That
was a random tangent... Verona had a smaller coliseum,
clean streets, friendly people and lots of shops. Our two hour
visit just wasn’t enough! I guess it'll give me something to
visit if I ever come back to Italy. Oh well, on to Venice!
We arrived into Venice late, and so we only had time to check
out the camp site before dinner and the bar. The bar (Fusina)
was fun… show for shots, and beat the barkeep! Table dancing,
attitude adjusters, pashing, so much fun! The drinks were crazy
expensive, and the mozzies blew. Venice is really nice, but
the killer bugs and nasty bathrooms just ruin everything. Remember
to BYOTP. RYAN PASHED AARON! AARON PUKED! CHAUNTEL NAKED! CJ
PUKING EVERYWHERE! So much gossip! What a wild night… and my
lame ass was limping around everywhere.
